NEURONAL RECOVERY IN THE TAVAD TREATMENT

What is Neuroadaptation?

Neuroadapation or neuroregulation is the process of recovery of neurons that have been damaged by drug abuse. In this way, the function of neurons is reactivated as well as the processes for which they are responsible such as decision-making, memory, attention, conscience, moral values, etc.

The brain maintains this plasticity throughout a lifetime and is founded on the ability to reorganise its connections in addition to the production of new neurons. Nowadays thousands of scientific articles are widening this field of knowledge.

Drug abuse produces damage to the brain which is reflected in behaviour, in the way one thinks and feels, in relationships with family and with oneself. These alterations are the reflection of neuronal disturbances (Image day 1, on admission). When the damaged cerebral areas recover (Image on the 30th day after discharge), the individual behaves, thinks and feels normally, is more stable, calmer and more thoughtful. After undergoing the hospital treatment the individual begins to realise and become aware of aspects of their life that had a shadow cast over them as a result of drug abuse.

In the following results of several patients who have undergone ultra rapid detoxification treatment, their consumption, impressions and “cerebral x-rays” on the 1st day (on arrival at Tavad) and on the 30th day (one month after treatment) can be seen.

These tests (Positron Emission Tomography) can be carried out at a specialised Nuclear Medicine Center, of an optional nature.

Comparative results captured by the metabolic fluorodeoxyglucose radiotracer (FDG), in the PET tests carried out before and after DNA treatment
Male, 42 years old. On admission to the Tavad center for detoxification his daily consumption is a bottle of whiskey, 15 bottles of beer, as well as other drinks. He also consumes 1,5 grams of cocaine.

PRE-DNA (Day 1)

drug recovery

“I’m here to please my partner and because of my mother and sisters’ pressure, but I don’t think I can solve this problem…”

POST-DNA (Day 30)

drug recovery

“A month has passed and I still can’t believe how much I’ve changed, I’m like I was 20 years ago…I feel calm, thoughtful, I’ve taken control of my life…”

Female, 42 years old. She consumes ¾ of a bottle of whiskey or vodka daily, as well as 10 glasses of beer occasionally. She also consumes 15 milligrams of diazepam daily at the time of admission to the Tavad center for detoxification treatment.

PRE-DNA (Day 1)

drug recovery

“I’m here because I know about the results of the treatment. I want to see if it can do me some good. I’m not sure, I think I’ll fail again…”

POST-DNA (Day 30)

drug recovery

“I feel more optimistic, in a better mood and admire the changes that are happening in my life. I’m enjoying my new ways of thinking and organising my life…”

Male, 36 years old. He consumes 3 glasses of wine, 3 glasses of anisette and three glasses of rum and coca cola daily.

PRE-DNA (Day 1)

drug recovery

“Almost every week I end up at the police station for getting in fights because of the alcohol. I don’t have the concentration I used to…”

POST-DNA (Day 30)

drug recovery

“I don’t have cravings for drink, I’m more relaxed and have better concentration. I’m in control of my thoughts. I don’t feel like fighting…”

The red/orange areas are those recovered during the Neuroadaptation treatment.
